Another sunny day at Vandals and another win for the dynamic Under 14's. A few late cry off and a couple of disappointing no shows/communication BUT on the plus side a return of Naheed who showed what we have been missing.
Captain for the day David Jones was professional and led from the front with his aggresive runs and commanding talks. Quite a few people were playing out of position as is quite common in our training games but this made no difference on the day.
Aiden Coyne could not put a foot wrong, catching the ball and running with purpose at all times. Joe Collyer and Daniel Wellden (flanker??) were making sure that the ball was not lost in the loose. Jordan Fernandez played well at outside centre on the day and Daniel Harrison scored two very well made tries from supporting in an outside centre roll (supposed to be prop on the day!)
Squad captain Callum Roker was ever present and giving words of advice to David. Scrum hald Jacob Jackson passed the ball with ease and did not lose focus on our objective for the day of spreading the ball wide.
Jack Lowden and Michael Caulder spoilt the lineouts on occasion and matched the size of Tiny from Mitcham. Jack Morriss tackled, cuaght the ball well and made some good ground.
Injury late on to Marc Emin say him miss out on what would have been a certain try.
Special mention to Jack Woodley who played the majority of the game with 2 broken fingers strapped up.
Apologies for those not mentioned as you all played well. Training Wednesday in preparation for the League game Sunday. Strongest 15 start.
Well done again lads.
