With no other way of getting this up on the net, have penned a few words on another rousing win for the 2s and put them here. Amos

Weybridge Vandals made it four wins on the bounce with a fine 22-15 triumph over previously unbeaten Farnham at Brownacres on Saturday.

Tries from Aussie starmen Doug Biffin and Andrew Wynne saw Vandals battle back from 8-0 down to lead 10-8 early in the second half. But Farnham re-claimed the lead with a try of their own only for scores from winger Bertie Bassett and full-back-turned-centre Ben Frazer to seal a dramatic win.

It could have been a different story as availability issues saw the Super 2s with only 13 players ten minutes ahead of kick-off, before re-enforcements in the shape of second row Duke and full-back Max 'I wasn't on the team sheet' Brooks gave stand-in skipper Stuart Amos a full compliment. The late re-shuffle saw Amos switched to fly-half and it wasn't long before Vandals were facing an 8-0 deficit with the back line taking time to settle .

Biffin and Wynne - a thorn in the side of the Farnham defence all day - helped inspire an unfamiliar looking Vandals pack to turn the tide as they began to assert their authority first at the scrum and then in the lose. Amos and inside centre Adams linked well as the crash ball specialists asked the visiting defence plenty of questions they struggled to find the answers to. It wasn't long before prop-cum-number eight Biffin got his side back in it, but it was try saving tackles from scrum-half Joe Marshall - twice - and Max Brooks that did most to ensure Vandals were only three points adrift at the turn.

Vandals knew the first score after the break was key and to their credit they got it with Wynne going over for a converted try, but with the hosts threatening to score another moments later, a loose pass on the Farnham line from the skipper saw Farnham scamper away to edge themselves in front again.

Undeterred Vandals came back when quick hands down the blindside from Amos put Biffin away and his off-load found Bertie to dive over in the corner - despite opposition cries the youngster had put a foot in touch . Minutes later a forward onslaught was held up short of the line before the ball was shipped out to Frazer, who dived over to the left of the posts to put the result beyond doubt as Vandals closed out the game .

A tremendous performance from one to 15. A testament to the work ethic that has defined the twos' performances over the last month. 100 per cent commitment - and no little skill - from everyone involved. On to Raynes Park and a great chance to make it five wins in a row.

PS: Don't forget, massive social at the club next weekend. Big Tackle are in the house and it will be messy. Bring your dancing shoes and your drinking boots.
