The squad at the festival at London Scottish did us all proud both in terms of how they played and how they represented the club. The boys all enjoyed it albeit that they were exhausted by the end (as were the coaches) having played 11 games between them. Not that I'm competitive but it was also very encouraging that they won most of their games (8) with one draw and two losses.

I understand that we had another good turnout at training too with the day's awards going to Joshua Steed and Jake, and with three new faces: Michah, Stanley and Theo (who isn't really new as he was one of our U6s last year). A big welcome to our new team members.

I also wanted to pass on how well the coaches think the children are doing. We have seen a huge amount of progress since we started this season only 11 weeks ago and it's really quite striking how much the children have improved as they get to grips with tag rugby. It's also great that we have so many children turning up every week. I'm only glad that all 55 on my 'register' don't turn up all on the same day!
