Toilet improvement project

Toilet improvement project

Stuart Howkins11 Jan - 08:17

First phase of our toilets improvement project is now complete with our new men’s facility now operational.

This first phase was always going to be the most challenging as we were essentially transforming an old redundant boiler room and an old physio room on two different levels into a new men’s facility. We also wanted to make sure this new facility was easily accessible from both our changing rooms and our clubhouse bar. The new facility also features a drinking water tap to enable the filling up of water bottles. As you will see from these pictures Ken Perry and our builder Greg have created a remarkable transformation.

The new men’s toilets were always the enabler of our new Ladies toilets and work has now started on converting the old men’s toilets into our new ladies facility which will double the number of cubicles that our ladies have to use. This transformation of our new ladies facility will take place throughout January and we hope to open our new ladies toilets in early February. The final phase will be the creation of our new disabled toilets and new baby changing room.

I’m extremely grateful to Ken Perry who has devoted a huge amount of his time and effort as project manager to make sure the transformation project delivers the best sports club toilets in Surrey. I look forward to sharing pictures of our new ladies toilets in my February update.

Whilst writing can I just make a personal appeal as President to ask that we all play our part in helping keep our club facilities presentable. Please use the numerous bins we have around the clubhouse and grounds for rubbish and please treat these new toilet facilities that we have invested significant money into as if they were your own ?
