Well that’s the rugby World Cup over for another four years. Congratulations to all our ‘Vandal Boks’ on South Africa retaining the World Cup and becoming the first county to win it four times. Whoever you support you have to admire the resilience and huge will to win this Springbok team showed on three consecutive weekends to beat France, England and New Zealand by a single point.

From a Vandals point of view I would like thank to everyone who visited our RWC fan zone over the last 7 weeks. We have watched some epic games together in a fantastic atmosphere. Along the way we have been featured by England rugby as an example to other clubs and we have had lots and lots of new visitors who will hopefully spread the word about this special club located on that island in Weybridge.

Finally a big thank you to Dickos Diner for providing great food at every game we showed, to our amazing bar manager Kate and her team for keeping the beer flowing and to our brilliant club volunteers for helping us set up the fan zone up every weekend. We now have a proven formula for covering major sporting events and I look forward to doing it again.

We will be back in 2025 for the much anticipated Lions tour of Australia.
